New Braunfels Event & Venue Guide

Plain-language help for planning meetings, banquets, and gatherings in the Texas Hill Country

About This Site

This site exists to make event planning in the New Braunfels area less mysterious. The venue world runs on jargon — attrition clauses, F&B minimums, room turns, guarantee numbers — and most people planning a wedding, reunion, or company meeting encounter that jargon exactly once, under time pressure. Our guides define the terms, show how they work with concrete examples, and note the exceptions, in the order a first-time planner actually meets them.

The site is written for people organizing their own events: couples, family organizers, office managers, club officers, and small-business owners. Professional planners will find it basic, and that is by design.

An honest note about what this is: these pages are reviewed reference material — explanations of terminology, common practices, and planning logistics. They are not professional advice. We do not review contracts, quote prices, or recommend specific vendors, and nothing here replaces the judgment of the venue staff, caterers, attorneys, and insurance professionals you will work with directly. When a page touches on contracts or insurance requirements, it explains what the words mean and then points you to the professionals who handle the decisions.

This site is an independent reference site. It is maintained with automated tooling and periodic human review, not a full-time editorial staff. If something here looks wrong or out of date, write to hello@newbraunfelsconventioncenter.org and it will be corrected.
